Hi Mark,I have a .mp3 file in my fs9 Sound directory; where it came from I know not :) - it's a very nice recording of a song from Charlotte Diamond by the name of "Singing in the rain" - ah! memories of Gene Kelly.....; guess you'd be too young to remember? It plays fine; I did have quite a few mp3 music files - some came via Heather Sherman's Grumman Goose (added in flight music!) and some via Alain Capt's MD11?. So, yes to your query.KenSomerset, England

Franksalot, Ken! Yes, I have all the same files, now that I go hunting; in fact, a mix of WAV, MP3 and Windows Media Audio, by designation, which presumably are all accepted by the FS engine. No MIDIs, eh ...Out of interest, I have just converted the file I am playing with - which is a music file - from midi into different formats:MIDI 53.0 KBMP3 3.56 MBWAV 10.00 MBIt's a four minute tune.MarkMark "Dark Moment" BeaumontVP Fleet, DC-3 AirwaysTeam Member, MAAM-SIM[a href=http://www.swiremariners.com/cathayhk.html" target="_blank]http://www.paxship.com/maamlogo2.jpg[/a]

As far as I know the sim cannot play MP3s directly. However it is possible to program a gauge, such as radiocd to play MP3s which could be how your MP3 found its way onto your FS9 install.Andrew BrownRoaring Thirtieshttp://www.gordiusfs.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/192029.png

Right, Andrew. R.L. Clark is the man, who developed the gauges to do this. Through his RadioCD player, and enhancements like Marcus Thompson's Sound Effect panel, I've now worked out that any .mid, .mp3, .wav or .wma file can be played from within the sim.MarkMark "Dark Moment" BeaumontVP Fleet, DC-3 AirwaysTeam Member, MAAM-SIM[a href=http://www.swiremariners.com/cathayhk.html" target="_blank]http://www.paxship.com/maamlogo2.jpg[/a]
