Europe's Dangerous Approaches

Hello Fellow Simmers;

Could you please be so kind to advise of any challenging approaches on the European Continent.

So far i have the following: 

Svalboard, Norway 

Gibraltar

Juancho E Yraunsquin in Netherlands 

Madeira

La Palma

Skiathos

Innsbruck

LOWS

LGSM

ENSD

 

Any other ones you guys have in mind?

But, is there a Juancho E Yraunsquin in Norway ? because this name is the Dutch airport in Caribbean island of Saba not in Europe.

 

With tubeliners or prop ?

I think Vágar at faroe islands also should be added to the list. Especially Runway 12 during which approach you fly through a narrow fjord canyon.

Going off memory so correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Gibraltar (LXGB) have a fairly tricky approach for one of it's runways?

 

(I don't think anyone has mentioned it yet).

Demanding approaches of European airports to add to the list:

 

LYTV - Tivat in Montenegro (available from Sky High Sim for free)
 

LSZS - Engadin in Switzerland (St. Moritz - Samedan)
 

LGSM - Samos in Greece (already mentioned)

 

EGLC - London City (steep approach)

Great topic! Not Europe, but possibly the most difficult in the world is Paro, Bhutan. According to a documentary I watched recently (BBC City in the Sky), only 26 commercial pilots are qualified to make the landing.

Last week I watched a National Geographic documentary on the worlds most challenging approaches. My eyes were glued to the TV for the entire 2 hours. Ill see if I National Geographic has posted it to their website or on YouTube. If i find the link I will share it.
