At least its sister plane the 767 is still going strong. It was defenatly a unique aircraft.

I still believe the 757 will be around for quite some time even though Boeing has stopped production. The 727 stopped in 1984 and they are still flying today with cargo carriers, but all major US passenger carriers had stopped using them in 2001/2002. Just food for thought.

Yeah, the 737s seem to be taking over everything now which makes me wonder how well the 7E7 will fair. All the major carriers are hurting and the carriers like Southwest and JetBlue that fly the 737s for everything are doing great. I feel that large jets just aren't being found to be economical so airlines are being forced to pick economical jets like 737 without the convinience of being able to fly passengers non-stop on lone trips. Though it seems the passengers are getting frugal enough to not care about layovers and in-flight services these days.----------------------------------------------------------------John S. They have 60 A320's right now, 74 on order, and reserved building slots for up to another 128. In 2005 though, they're going to take delivery of the first of 50 Embraer 190's for feeder routes. They also have options on another 150 Embraer 190's.Richard
