PMDG DC-6 Cloudmaster... Full comprehensive review now available from X-PlaneReviews

I'm a bit disturbed by those panel lines in the screenshots ( the FCS Sunderland comes to mind ). I hope I'm wrong when it comes to the P3Dv3 release.

Edit: Just to illustrate my concerns; the nose panel lines -

What about them...?

The panel gaps look about 2 inches wide at full size in that image. It would make it rather drafty inside. I hadn't noticed (I usually don't use external view), but in that lighting it looks odd.

You seriously can't see the problem there ? As Kevin points out, what should be riveted joints are oversized grooves in the skin of the aircraft. I'm sorry, I do love PMDG, but that looks more like brick laying than aeronautical engineering: This illustrates it further:

I'm sorry, but this just doesn't look right at all, in my view.

This is, one of the great mistake on using BUMP/NORMAL on material, you can't simulate 3D with just 4096*4096.

It's better to work with pixel in the diffuse map (basemap) like little dark line or rivet to simulate shadow.

This effect is an old technique used on render but was really awful with low size texture.

Anyway thank's for the link.
