Anyone else seeing this?  I just updated my install and my load times have about doubled.

No problems here. try moving your addons to separate folder and then slowly add them back and to see where the conflict is.

Works fine here.

I'm still having this issue.  In FSX/ESP world load times are pretty much all solved by using an SSD.  That's what I'm using for ESP and XP10.  But in XP10 does it require more than just an SSD to load quicker?  Is my CPU maybe the culprit?  I'm at 4GHz on an i5 2500K / 4 GHz.

Ryan,

I have noticed longer Xplan10-64 bit load times also.

This is with 10 of the Xplane10 default scenery moved, months ago, to a backup folder.

My Steam Xplane version is 10.51 r2 build 105101.

My load times today (using a stopwatch) are:

My Xplane10-64 bit load time [from a 2TB ST200 DM SCSI Hard, drive F] is 4 minutes.
Loading MrX's KSAN and FF's 767 .. ready for takeoff.

My P3d v3.4 32 bit load time [from 500GB SSD Boot drive, drive C] is 45 seconds.
Loading Orbx Global, default Jet, default airport, ready for takeoff.

My FSX Acceleration 32 bit load time [from a 2TB ST200 DM SCSI Hard, drive F] is 3 minutes 15 seconds).
Loading Orbx Global, default Trike, default airport, ready for takeoff.

Updating to 10.51 fixed this issue for me. 10.50 was literally taking hours to load.

How long to load it?

it takes my rig no more then 1.5 min to load into KSEA on an SSD with latest XP build.

As far as I know, having Hyper-threading on may help load times.

To load what?

You mentioned :

"10.50 was literally taking hours to load."

I was asking how long did it take ... like in how many minutes ?

Most of what you mention here is irrelevant. PSU , Monitor Sounds cards etc have absolutely no relevance to loading times.

What will affect loading times are.

Hardware:

1. CPU

2. HDD or SSD

3. Memory type and speed

Software and configuration:

1. Where your scenery is installed on SSD or HDD (My X-plane install is on an nvme M2 SSD) Myscenery on an SSD and 7200rpm HDD (photo scenery)

2. How much scenery you have installed that needs to be loaded.

3. The complexity of your scenery and (graphics) settings

4. Scenery support libraries

5. The amount of plugins you have installed and type of plugins

My X-Plane takes about 3 minutes to load but

1. My photo scenery is on a HDD

2. My X-Plane install is on a nvme M2 SSD

3. Other custom scenery on a normal SSD

CPU I76700, 32GB 2800Mhz RAM.

No one system will be like another so it's more or less pointless asking what others get in their load times and comparing it to yours, there are far too many variables to make a decent comparison.

I said it was talking literally hours. So literally hours. I would leave for work, come back and it wasn't done yet. 10.51 fixed it.
