August 5, 20169 yr New titan X will smoke anything on the planet - wish I had one - Robs buying two of them wow Yeah, but only with watercooling and custom bios to ramp up the power target. 2 of them is like - tech overkill 3000. I would love it :-D

August 5, 20169 yr New titan X will smoke anything on the planet - wish I had one - Robs buying two of them wow I "only" run 4k, so one card is plenty. I specifically waited for the Titan X before upgrading my graphics because it was either that or SLI 1080 and thankfully Titan X is just fast enough for 4k single card. SLI doesn't work in a number of games and it doesn't always help in flight sim either, too many CPU-bound scenarios.

August 5, 20169 yr Here is what SLI did for my setup - see Test # 3 and 6 and Test # 7 and 11 and Test # 27 and 28: SLI helped my setup considerably with SGSS AA usage and only a minor gain when no AA is used. When I get the new Pascal Titan X (which will probably be a month or two away given stock), I run the same tests and report back. My desire is that I could run SGSS AA in ALL situations with the new Pascal SLI setup. Cheers, Rob.

So what you say is that a 1080 is not enough for 4K?Which Game are we talking about here? I tested today in 4K and max details: Dying light Doom Fallout 4 GTA 5 P3D -> not a single stutter. Fps around 60 in all games.

If you'll note though, I didn't say SLI wasn't helpful, what I said was that it's not *always* helpful, and your data demonstrates this. So what you say is that a 1080 is not enough for 4K? Either your idea of "max details" is different from everyone else's, or you're not as sensitive to dips under 60 fps. All the reviews show the Titan X is just barely enough for 60 fps @ 4k with max details in most games. And you sure as heck don't have 60 in P3D, unless you don't run add-ons or turn down a LOT of settings or both.
August 5, 20169 yr My idea is: all settings to max ;-) Well. Whatever ;-) I don't like the tone here. So I'm out.
August 5, 20169 yr I have a Titan X and no way can I run all my settings max as a matter of fact its the opposite AG is at normal and a lot of stuff like reflections shadows etc. are off - if you could Rob wouldnt be buying two more pascal Titans Rich Sennett
