The latest DX10 How To Guide I can find for setting up a Nvidia profile to work with the DX10Fixer is Version 1.08a dated 10 December 2014.

Has there been any guide updates since then?

I use the settings in the AVSIM FSX Configuration Guide (see link in my signature).  They work great for FSX w/DX 10 Preview enabled.

 

I believe the author of the guide you are referring to went to another website.  His guide will not be updated by AVSIM in any case.

Keep in mind the fact that all guides are universal therefore there is always a change that you will get more out of your sim by tweaking things yourself.
