Recommended Posts

When I fire up FSX I get a pop up that reads; Scenery CFG  file error. Local Scenery Directory . ( Orbx \ FTX Vector \ Scenery ) Area 166 not found. How can that be fixed? Thanks

Run SceneryConfigEditor.  When open it will show you the mistakes in your scenery.cfg usually in red.  You can then click on edit and fix it.

Jim, I opened SceneryConfigEditor and there was nothing in red. On the right side, it said there were no errors

Then I was wrong.  I have no other solution to offer.  Sorry.

Did you delete an ORBX scenery without removing it from the Scenery Library first?  Been there, done that!

if you uninstalled ORBX Vector and don't want it anymore, just remove it from scenery library, it can be done with SceneryConfigEditor too. If you didn't, reinstall Vector, that should fix it. It's a simple notification, you have area 166 in scenery.cfg, but for some reason folder is not there anymore. You can also just create empty folder with that name in that location and message will disapear
