Great car, you see Dodge is "bringin' back" the Charger?http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/96043.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/96044.jpgTo have a 5.7 Hemi V-8, or you can go low budget and get the 3.5 V-6.Would go with the Mustang myself...:-outtahttp://publish.hometown.aol.com/p3superb/i...s/sign_name.jpgThere is a fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness".- unknown"My daddy gives me up, to fight for you"- a US Military Members Child

To be honest with ya.. that car is so ugly that I probably shouldnt go into describing how ugly I think it is. Actually... its not "ugly, period"... but its as if the 03/04 Mustang was designed like the new 05 Mustang, and the real 05 Mustang was redesigned with a 03/04 Mustang style... just wrong. The original Charger concept that they had was MUCH better... had a lot of the original Charger lines. That one just looks like a cross between the Dodge Magnum and Dodge Stratus. There IS another muscle car concept that I just LOVE, though... the Camaro. Take a look for yourself... http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/96045.jpg

Drove a '04 Mustang special edition for 3 weeks last month and it was magnificent.Bit impractical here (narrow roads, minute parking places) and expensive to import or I'd seriously consider getting one.

Glad you liked the 04... personally I dont care for it though. They are nice cars as they are, but as Mustangs... fuggedaboutit... theyre not Mustangs... theyre just typical sports cars. The 05 Mustang GT... now thats a real Mustang *grin*

But to bring us back to aviation...I recall reading an article in a car magazine about the author's test-drive of a Shelby GT Cobra, one of the old ones built by Carroll Shelby himself. The test track was an unused runway parallel to an active runway at a local airport. The author remarked that he felt a bit odd driving a car and passing airplanes that were taking off.

Todd,I agree with you, the Charger I think is only a name, Nothing other than the stripe from the orginal, and IIRC thos are Cuda stripes at that. Like the look of the Camaro. Capt,Reminds me of an airshow they had here where they raced a Lamaborgini Diablo aginst on of the Japanese Crouch Rockets(can't remember which) Both took off down the runway, the Diablo took the race but when he run across the aressting gear, he ripped the front spoiler right off the car. LOL. Screwed up the paint on the fenders as well. The bad thing(how ever your look at it) It was a dealer car, that was for sale. :-outtahttp://publish.hometown.aol.com/p3superb/i...s/sign_name.jpgThere is a fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness".- unknown"My daddy gives me up, to fight for you"- a US Military Members Child

My mom's first car was a '65 Mustang, and she has had several since then... no new ones... I dont think she had anything later than a '70 model... but she had 5 or 6 '60's Mustangs.

The '05 Mustang is bringing the Mustang's styling back to where it belongs. They're also bringing the GT-40 back. She sports a 500hp V-8.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/96281.jpgPontiac brought the GTO back. It rides on a Corvette C6 chassis and has the same engine selection.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/96282.jpgAnd GM is unveiling 3 new Hummers, the H3, the H2 SUT, and a new H1 Alpha.http://www.hummer.com/Opinion - The H1 is the ONLY true Hummer. The others are neat, but don't even come close to the original. Period.

The GT-40 is also a $300,000 car :-lolThe GTO... well, by itself, its a great car. However, it is kind of disappointing that they made a copy of a Holden car instead of designing it from scratch or using one of the original GTO as a model (personally, I wouldve gone with the Judge as a model for the comeback GTO)I agree about the Hummer... I dont care much for it but if I was going to get one, I would go with the H1... the rest of them are just "other" SUV's with a famous older brother.

The GTO is a copy of the Monaro? No, it just IS a Monaro, built in Australia. But the old Monaro was a better car than the orignal GTO anyway, so don't be too disappointed. At least the existence of the GTO put the Pontiac engines in the Monaro and not the other way around. The Monaro/GTO is a fantastic car. Fast, comfortable, as practical as a 2-door can be, and reasonably economical as well. As well as having incredibly fun handling. And just wait for the 4WD version... it's coming, and it'll be astonishing.

Well, I saw the H3 at the LA car show last year and it didn't look anything like the H3 on the Hummer website. It was about the same size and shape as a Ford Ranger, with big tires and Hummer styling...Guess they decided to change a few things. ;-) Brandon RuizSkiAir Virtual Airlines"Serving the ski areas of the Rockies"www.pookiedom.com/skiair
