FDSFX Panel.zip installed into 737NGX

Has anyone added this to your PMDG 737 NGX the file is FDSFX.zip . This add-on give you cabin announcements to any panel. I have added it to many of my planes and the last one is the NGX and I am running into and issue.

 

Just checking to see if anyone has added it and if you can post your settings you added to the panel.cfg.

Just curious, when the cockpit door is closed, and the pilot is pushing back going to pre-taxi checklists and whatnot... do they actually hear the cabin announcements?

I think it might be a cool addon, but well if it's not realistic I wouldn't be so interested.

I'm not disagreeing, but is it realism... or preference, or enhancing the gaming?

I don't know the real answer, but I hope for them not! Imagine talking to the controllers and running the checklist with your crew while hearing the cabin safety brief! 

 

In FSX, I fly online on IVAO, with Fs2crew. I always put the volume down for the FA and cabin because it is really disturbing, specially in busy environment with ATC and a lot of traffic. It is quite difficult not to lose the thread with someone talking at the same time in the cabin.

I wonder if it might be policy that they shouldn't be distracted. Back when they flew with the door open (I can actually remember these days, looking up the aisle and out the pilot's window), it would be pretty obvious that they could hear the announcements. But there have been a few wrecks due to distracted pilots, and I know there have been regulations put in place that restrict even talking general BS in the cockpit during critical phases of flight. 

 

I don't know, is the cockpit door sound proofed on purpose? Curious.

Well I know there is the "sterile cockpit rule":

 

"Commonly known as the "sterile cockpit rule," these regulations specifically prohibit crew member performance of non-essential duties or activities while the aircraft is involved in taxi, takeoff, landing, and all other flight operations conducted below 10,000 feet MSL, except cruise flight."

It doesn't specifiy whether the FA announcement may be heard in the cockpit but in the sense of these regulations, it may be implied.

Well, I have, but I cannot get the cut-paste function to work with this website. It asked me to allow access to the clipboard, and I did. But, I still cannot cut-paste anything to the post I am trying to write, and I am not about to type the whole thing. And no, can't attach anything, either. I don't know what it is about THIS website that I can't paste or attach anything. Perhaps my security settings?

 

Anyway, yes, it can be done. I have done it for years and it works. Since I cannot post here, perhaps at Flightsim.com website? I know I can cut-paste there.
