Seperate avionics versions ?

Recommended Posts

Wonder if it would be possible by copying and renaming the ac folder to have two different versions of the ac

One with the glass/rxp 530 cockpit

The other steam/gns 750 cockpit

Any ideas ?

I do not have the aircraft but I think it could be done. Remember to rename every livery's title in the aircraft cfg as well and it should work. You could also just create two different panel folders and assign them as you want in the existing aircraft folder. i.e. panel.530 and panel.750. If you want to use the same livery for each just change the title and variation lines in the aircraft cfg.

Hope this helps,

Thanks

I'll give it a shot

I'll set it to glass and run rxp installer then copy that to desktop

Then I'll set it to steam and run the gtn 750 installer and save that to desktop

Then let the renaming begin

Note that not only the panel folder changes, but the model folder as well..

As Bert suggest, the easiest way would be to simply make copies of the Panel and Model folders, rename them, and create/amend the entries in the aircraft.cfg, so that your desired different liveries, use either the "standard" versions of the panel and model files, or your new versions, which can be set to use the alternative avionics to the original.
