FS9 part loads in Win 10

Recommended Posts

4I have now installed FS 2004 7 times from my disks but still cannot get it to function correctly. The loading procedure was FS 9 into C:\OS, 9.1 update, file not mentioned. When I click on the icon I am always asked to say yes  to to Administrator start. That's ok. However, everything loads correctly, with sound etc. I leave the flight on the Cessna 172 and open the throttle and the aircraft starts to move. BUT if I touch the "S" key to change view the top of the screen changes but the panel remains. This happens on every aircraft. Can anybody help?  I have deleted every non-FS9 aircraft to ensure no pollution from that source. However, with hidden files viewable I cannot trace the FS9.cfg file.

Download 'Everything' from https://www.voidtools.com/

This is an amazingly fast desktop search engine that will find fs9.cfg as you type.

Delete that, then run again & see what happens.

I have FS2004 installed in its default directory & another version in C:\

Both work perfectly.

Try turn the UAC setting right down, & see what happens.

Hi, It stands for User Account Settings

It is just a nag from Microsoft.

In Windows 10, go to your Magnifying Glass in the Task Bar, bottom left & type in UAC

Then Change UAC settings,

then drag slider right down.

Cheers

Robin
