Will there be openLC for Asia?

What's next after North America region? We already have Europe North America, Central America, Alaska, Canada. What will be the next region? I hope it will be Asia.

As far as I recall, JV said it will be Southern America. I would prefer Asia as well, but unfortunately I am not being asked.

So what's the roadmap like. Is Asia even a part of it?

According to the ORBX OpenLC EU PDF, Asia is #3 in the list (check page 16).  Not sure if that's still relevant.

Southern Asia (incl. China and Japan) was the next originally, but was shifted, although in the docs coming with OpenLC NA it's still #3. I think they just forgot to update that map. Generally, all Countries are on the map, but given the present pace this might take ages. Although OpenLC NA was worth the wait.

While Asia has received IMHO more and more attention over the past years for (international) airports (Overland, Wings Creation, Technobrain, Pacsim with Taiwan and today Incheon airports...), what we really miss is the OrbX Open LC Asia that has been postponed so many times...

In the 2019 Orbx Roadmap, issued december 2018, John Venema stated:

"Next" might be this year or 2020 or later.

Are you aware of more recent official OrbX statement (after december 2018) or rumors?

None but some simmers remind OrbX of their interest for it from time to time.
