Orbx ymml no runway lighting p3dV3

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

First off many apologies if this isnt in the correct forum, but i have been tearing my hair out for the past week trying to sort this out.

Problem im having is no runway or approach lighting at my orbx ymml scenery. Ive had this problem before and fixed it but for the life of me cannot remember how i did!

The only thing i can tell you that is diiferent from the last time is that i was running windows 7 home premium.

I upgraded my system to windows 10, bought a brand new ssd dedicates solely for p3d and completed a fresh install.

Now that the no runway lights problem is back, ive been searching and searching but cannot remember what was done last time. Ive rolled back gpu drivers, played in my cfg, completely deleted all other addons except ftx and ymml. Only thing i cant remember is last time did i play with a object_flow.dll and if so, this time i cannot find it anywhere.

What im thinking now is it my windows 10 install?

Is anyone else using windows 10 with this?

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers,

Dan

Are you using the latest (V2.0) YMML with the P3Dv3-ready installer?  Shouldn't need any tweaking in any version of MSFS or P3D with that.

Hello

I don't have YMML, but have lots of ORBX payware and all freeware airports.

Hope this helps You:

Some time ago I found a fix for missing runway lights in some of their airports.

The problem was due to setting the runway(s) width to 0.0. (It happened with FSX  SP2 setups and apparently still does in P3D)

Check the airport BGL file with ADE and look for the runway width, if it is 0.0, Then set it to 0.1 and compile it again.

Cheers.

Cheers guys,

Will try both these out when i get home tonight. Not sure if i used the ymml v.20 installer, just used the original zip i had downloaded previously. Ill re download from orbx which should give me the latest correct?

In regards to the object_flow.dll does this exist in p3d or am i thinking of when i use to fly fsx?

Thanks

Yes it does. It handles many ORBX features. Central makes sure it is present in Prepar3D.cfg every time you run it.

But be careful, there is a bug in the Current central that duplicates some object_flow.dll's if You have certain airports.

(Check the forums to see which ones)

Cheers.

One other thing...make sure there is no YMML-specific ObjectFlow.dll in your dll.xml...the versions before 2.05 (which is the current quadruple-installer version labelled as 2.0 in the file name) did have one...they have gone to a unified ObjectFlow module.

Thanks heaps guys. Sadly still no go. Im currently re-downloading orbxFTXAUSSP4003 and OrbxFTXYMML200 from where i purchased. Going to try a reinstall again.

Just for a double check can i ask what drivers you guys are using?

Im currently trying 358.91 for my nvidia gtx980 on win10. No luck

Out of curiosity, it wouldnt have anything to do with my simconnect would it?

I run asn and proatc-x on my laptop via simconnect

Thanks

I'm using 368.81 on a pair of GTX980Ti GPUs in SLI on Win 7.  Not likely going to be a Simconnect issue.  Also, make sure you have installed the latest ORBX libraries.

Have you tried posting on the ORBX forums?

Still tackling this one. Yes latest libraries were installed which i believe latest ones were released on the 7th or there abouts.

I havent posted there yet but my god have i spent countless hours reading through it trying every fix that is suggested. Ive even emailed ORBX but no response yet.

Ive just bit the bullet, formatted both my ssd's and am going to start a fresh p3d install again. Will keep you guys informed, thanks heaps for the help.

Just ordered a Virtualavionics mcp and a mip+overhead from flightsimparts.com hope i can fix this ymml issue before i start building.

Think i may be onto something guys.

I just noticed now, before i did the new install on my new ssd i had 3 folders for p3d. P3d, p3dv2 and p3dv3.

Ive just noticed i no longer have the p3d and p3dv2 files
