proxyUser : could not get DOS name for volume 'Device\NamedPipe'

Recommended Posts

After spending hours trying hard to make Tileproxy work under Windows 10 and succeeding, now i face a new problem and its when i operate FSX together with Tileproxy, FSX crashes.

There is that messages in the begining of Tileproxy launching that says :
proxyUser : could not get DOS name for volume 'Device\NamedPipe' : 0x... <the request is not supported.>

Could that message be the reason for the crash?

Maybe there is no other way but to go back to Windows 7.

Well it seems the crash is a result of a deffective proxyUser.ini file.
i replaced it and now FSX doesnt crash but the error mentioned above is still there.

It would be interesting to investigate what was wrong with the deffective proxyUser file.
