Library update

Recommended Posts

Should I install the latest library update now?  I just installed ORBx OpenLC NA and remember that people had issues (i.e., blurries).  It's recommending I update of course.

Well I applied the update anyhow.  OpenLC NA has been a disappointment so far.  I hope these are just anomalies I can fix.  Sucks.

KSEZ, covering the city??

My add-ons for scenery are only ORBx FTXG and OpenLC NA, along with the freeware pack.  Nothing else.  Looks pretty bad IMO, and clearly the textures aren't being applied in the right area.  I will try looking and asking on the ORBx forum later I guess.  :-(

Sorry to see you having so much trouble!   I can tell you..that if you can get all this sorted out...N.A. complete is better than sliced bread...it totally transforms the sim....totally.  I also had some trees on the airport property at a Phoenix regional airport. This will get tweaked out, in any updates...post RTM.

Thanks, yeah something is wrong with my install.  A user over at ORBX said his lake was desert so I have a problem.  The trees are apparently not an install problem, rather a bug they'll have to patch.  I've rerun the installer twice and nothing is fixing the issue with the wrong textures though.  I'm hoping I can get it resolved without having to reinstall the sim.

I too have noticed water where there shouldn't be any.  Lake Lucero on the west side of White Sands National Monument is the source for the white gypsum sand that make up the dunes.  It's a dry lake bed but it has always had water in it in my flight simulators.  I just ignore it.

Do you have Global Vector?

I do not have vector installed no. I was under the impression that it wasn't required.

The trees on the airport are only visible on the freeware Orbx version. That been identified by many people.

The green tiling seems to be unrelated. The problem exists without the freeware installed.

What bothers me is that people with vector are saying that the green tile issue isn't visible but I don't want vector. Frustrating.

Same issue and I have no intention of buying Vector. Posted in Orbx forum as well but it seems as though they are all on vacation and unwilling to answer any questions this week.

So now the story is related to parks tile rendering.  Either you buy vector and suffer more performance loss and money loss or look at horrible tiles.  Not very happy.

They're saying they'll try and fix it but it'll be difficult.  So in other words, don't get your hopes up.

It's not like Vector is some horrible product that does nothing. It has accurate vector data for the entire world.
