Man, if they release P3D v4 this year, then I saved myself a pretty penny by just subscribing to the $10 month package.

Not happy with that at all. Let us enjoy the power of 3.3 for 2 years.

Going to take a guarantee of 80 FPS minimum and free add ons forever to get me to switch from what I have now, which works perfectly.

I won't be upgrading and will wait until 5.0 as I just upgraded to v3.  I can't handle paying $200 every 6 months or so (or even 1 year or so!!).  I'm with G-YMML1.

Ha!  I nominate this post for worst of the year, or at least the day.  If the product continues to progress and you are happy with your version and configuration, a new release doesn't affect you in the slightest.  However, what you suggest is quite simply stagnation and ought never to be any company's approach.

I need the new upgrade for VR.  Each new release will probably improve VR and high fidelity graphics.  I am so happy that I went with the $10 sub as there are months when I am not simming anyway.

Let the new upgrades come.  We all like shiny new things and I am sure things will break oh well (that is life in the sim world).  I am just grateful that we are getting updates from LM

Depends on your definition of "progress". I'd rather wait for two years to get major new release instead of cumulative SP pack. Versions 1 through 3 have been on 2-years schedule so far. I hope this tendency will continue for a sake of steady development and quality control.

You can wait all you like.  My point is, your previous remark indicates you don't even wish for version 4.0 to be released any time soon.

Good thing is that nobody who doesn't want to upgrade has to. We still have folks happily running FSX2009, after all. More power to them! New stuff for those who want it, and continuity for those who want it. That's one of the great things about our hobby.

Let's just fly now 3.3 is running very well..

Version 4 64bit ? At this point no need for it as I do not suffer from OOMs and enjoy some recently released v3.3 scenery.

If v4 is 64 bit, AND it doesn't break compatibility with my addons AND it's not any more expensive than normal AND its a magic 1 stop fix for the usual problems (OOMs, blurrys, stutters, black textures) then I won't hesitate to upgrade immediately.

So it looks like I'm staying with v3 for the foreseeable future.
