Family photos in cockpit.

Featured Replies

Just wondered if anyone knows a fairly easy way of attaching a family snapshot somewhere on the FSX aircraft panel or the side of a door.

I have the .bmp but not the blu-tack, plasti-tak etc

For which  Airplane?

You can mod any texture BMP or DDS file from your aircraft. (Make copies)

For DDS  I use directly Paint.Net or GIMP

for BMP, use DXTBmp and edit with Paint.Net or GIMP

1 Load the desired aircraft texture that has the side panel or panel.

2. Load Your Family Picture as a new image and resize it accordingly.

2a. Select your resized family picture and copy it.

3. Paste (as a new layer) Your Picture over the Side Panel picture.

3a. Move the layer to wherever you want it placed.

4. Flatten the modified Image and save it as the original type.

for example DXT5 for DDS or BMP.

Cheers.

Handley Page Dart Herald. 1950s turboprop whose last flight (cargo) was around 1999.

This is available for FS9 only at http://www.cbfsim.co.uk/CBFS_HOME.php

The panel has a non functioning radar scanner which would make a neat spot to stick a photo. I will have a try using your suggestions.

Many thanks!
