August 12, 20169 yr You do realize that a Gulfstream G650 flown under part 91 is General Aviation (GA.) General Aviation is all civil aviation operations other than scheduled (Part 121) and non-scheduled (Part 135) air transport operations for remuneration or hire. So what you guys are saying then is a private business jet flown under IFR cannot be used in PRO/ATC-X?

I did two flights just last night in a Kodiak Quest. Today I will be flying from Hollywood, FL to Key West.
August 12, 20169 yr Commercial Member Thanks for the answers and could someone point me to a video or example of the copilot working in a GA plane? August 12, 20169 yr Author I would also like to see a video of this too. Never seen Pro ATC being used other than tubeliners. August 12, 20169 yr I would also like to see a video of this too. Never seen Pro ATC being used other than tubeliners. Make your own video, set up your flight plan using a GA aircraft that is IFR capable instead of a tube liner, start PATC, and go for it. Couldn't be any simpler.

August 12, 20169 yr It really is simple. Here is a pretty good step-by-step description. It's a bit dated (before the 2015 update), but the same general steps apply: https://a2asimulations.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=48343 For short, direct flights from smaller airports, I've run into the issue that the program's flight planner expects a SID transition as per an IFR flight, which may not always be possible. However, ProATC-X works fine for trips from normal airports that have SIDs. I believe that the upcoming update fixes this issue and so should be more friendly to VFR direct GPS routing and the like.
August 12, 20169 yr ProATC-X also will gag if you try to start (and maybe end?) a flight at an airport that doesn't have any gates, so if you're planning on flying out of very small strips, you might want to wait and see if that is fixed in the upcoming release.
