is the PL 21 unit being developed with a view to being available as a stand alone unit?,for use with other aircraft, much like the flight1GTN series

The pl21 system is an integrated cockpit and aircraft systems package. It requires custom programming and modules per the specific airframe IRL, so making it a standalone unit(s) wouldn't make much sense as far as accuracy in sim. The Garmin systems are designed to work with multiple airframes with minimal custom code or modules.

An FMS based Avionics System, is a totally different animal than a GPS based Avionics System, and they must be understood in that light.

We are aware of those who "cram" a GTN into a semi functional "PL21" corporate offering with mixed to miserable results.

Our PL21 offerings differ greatly from that track and we believe users will appreciate the realism and funtionality.

Great news

We've been through a drought on quality BizJets and it's good to see some coming.  Even the ol' Mustang which I love and have flown for so long and was great in the day is falling way behind.  We have a wealth of big jets that are far more capable and more stable.  So, yes, I'll be watching with great interest.

Ron,

I hope i'm not hounding you with questions, but where is the best place for those of us with interest to continue to watch this project develop?

Thanks,

From the afterlife.  Quality takes at least 2 lifetimes.   :P

That's funny right there.
