PMDG737NG or LDS767 for shorter flights

Delta flies both the 738 and 767 from DFW to ATL and back. That is one of my favorite short flights. The Sids and Stars intersect each other at MEI, which I always thought was kind of neat. KDFW DALL8 MEI HONIE2 KATLKATL GEETK1 VUZ J52 SQS CQY6 KDFWCan't help much on which plane to buy though. I only own the PMDG 737, but I have been reading the manual for the LD767, and plan on purchasing soon.

This might strike you a bit wierd BUTDelta also does KATL - KFLL with the 767-300...Yes thats right you heard me - the 767-300I still can;t believe i flew the triple seven and 767-300 i am so lucky

Air Canada are still using the 767 for a few flights between YUL and YYZ. While it doesn't look like they are doing so now, it wasn't all that long ago that they were using the 767 between YOW and YYZ.Doug

I'd get that 767 - it rocks. It is not as stuttery as the 737 and you can perfectly save the flight with the complete panel and FMC state. The save function is the main reason I don't fly the 737s anymore. For me even long range trips like 2000 nm do not take longer than 2 hours with 8x acceleration on CRZ level and manual flying up to CRZ level and descent.But you'll still need 1,5 hours even for short 700nm hops.Alex

Thanks for all the input... wow.Went "out" and got the LDS767 yesterday after all. No slight on PMDG (used to have their 757 for Fly!), but Bobsk8's "100 hours" post swung it for me! Working through the CYVR-FSFO tutorial now. Fantastic. Kinda coincidental too, given my base for flight operations!I'll probably imagine my own new Air Canada route from CYYC-CYVR for my "routine" flying until I get this thing wired - not a 767 route, but I love flying over the Rockies!By the way: the save system on the LDS is just outstanding! It'll realistically allow me to do CYVR-CYYZ - over a couple of nights.Thanks again.
