Gauge and Hanging question

Recommended Posts

Hey folks,

when starting the Dash 8 Pro with the newest update I get on my P3D 3.2 the message after loading the plane that the gauge is for P3D 2.0 and lower and I should go to the support page. But there is nothing inside the FAQ?

Another thing:

Sometimes the Dash is stopping for maybe 1s and then continuing.It's only the plane not the sim itself. After that she continues...Don't know how to describe that best :/ How to fix that as it's a bit disturbing

First issue: you need to go the Majestic website, then Support->User Area; patch version 1.019a for the PILOT editions and 1.018d for the PRO editions of the MJC8Q400 addon for P3D V3.3.5 (this patch version does not support V3.2, but I think there is an older version there for that).

Second issue: this is a somewhat common problem, and generally can be fixed by changing some settings in the mjc84.ini file using a text editor such as notepad. Under the [sYSTEM] section change or add the following line:

disableFDEtoFSXSync=1

You can also change the timer (the multimedia timer can be better under Windows 8) and choose which processor cores run the Majestic simulation (this is known as affinity mask), fiddling with those settings may also fix your problems, you'll probably want to google them a bit first so you know what you're doing with them.

Another cause can be FS UIPC's autosave function, disabling this could fix the issue.

I hope this helps.

Thanks Chris for your help, the first issue is fully solved. It was the solution you described but other way round. I had the newest patch for the 3.2 so I applied the older patch and it worked.

Now I'm only struggling with the flight controls as they are not working. I will open another thread.
