FSL A320 now generally available

Recommended Posts

Hi , FlightSimLabs A320 now available for download for all FSX users. - is it worth going back to FSX again?(I'm only using P3D at the moment). Is there cockpit shadows with the DX10 fixer in use with the A320?

TIA

Jude

Thanks Mark, I bought FSX;SE some time ago and then started to rationalise about having nearly two identical sims on board (as well as X-Plane). P3D is more expensive to populate than FSX is, and slowly, the code is being more optimised. I'll have to think a bit about this one, after all I spend $'s on PMDG P3D products too,

go get it! I too am a P3D user, but got lucky and got the Early adopter version, I picked up FSX Steam for a few bucks, and I have to say this is one realistic bird. The wind page will be available in the upcoming SP (see their forum), in the meantime, I hope everyone enjoys it the way I have been

Thanks for the advise, I guess if the P3D is more than 50% higher than the FSX edition, then that will probably be the deciding factor, that and the fact that P3D is slowly moving away from being compatibly with my older Aerosoft sceneries.

It seems there's an upgrade price difference from FSX => P3D and the original licence for FSX is kept active. http://forums.flightsimlabs.com/index.php?/topic/7679-a320-x-general-release-v101172-now-available/

"we wholeheartedly recommend the 5 Euro Steam version and the A320-X on FSX - it'll get you acquainted and once the P3D is available, you can upgrade straight to it (and don't worry- your FSX license will not be revoked like some people want to think)."

That sounds like a pretty decent offer from FSLabs. They could have easily gone down the "full price for both versions" route like some other well known developers, so kudos to them for that.

That was my question I asked in the other topics oops. Thanks for that information. Debating whether to wipe my hard drive and install fsx steam. I lose my RealityXP though...

Its amazing how PMDG charged use all full price again for there NG and 777 in P3D and FSL can offer " you pay the difference and have a licence for both" Shame on PMDG.

What made that even worse was the NG all but a small problem worked fine in P3D.

I will buy the FSL over the 747v2.

So you pay 99$ and then another XX to upgrade for P3D, but then if the price to move is 50$ it's 150$.

Maybe it's better to understand the full price of P3D.

Same here! For me the repurchase of the NGX and T7 where the last PMDG acft I bought.

I am not too keen on driving the buses, but from videos this looks really great. Well done FSLabs!

But...

+1

They did revolutionize the FS world. First they deliver a top-notch product of an extremely complex aircraft, now they offer a straight and completely fair upgrade price to another platform (which in all reality is like 80% similar to FSX).

We should never have to pay for duplicate code, and there is quite a lot in such an addon. Kudos to FSL!

My reply may not be reflective of the mainstream answer when I say no.     I am very much looking forward to flying the bus, but at this point I have my P3D up and running and FSX has been un-installed from my rig.   I shall wait until the P3D version is out, then happily purchase it.
