Speed brake armed light comes on after starting the sim

Recommended Posts

Hi, Having a problem with my speed brake armed light coming on after loading the plane, Engines are off and ground power is hooked up but some times the speed brake light is illuminated. When this happens and I go ahead and start the engines the auto throttle will not engage. Most of the time I get out, reboot and everything is ok. Now its coming on more often and just a little later in the startup process. Not sure what is going on any help is appreciated.... Thanks Mike

And you have verified that the speed brake is not armed in the cockpit ? Sorry dumb question but just make sure. Then we'd have to see what is arming it.

The panel state you are loading in is it a PMDG one or one you created? If you created it you might have had the spoiler down by accident. Just a thought.

Hi, I didn't create the start profile and am using the "Long Start". The light comes on after the 737 count down just after loading. If I see that the light comes on then I have to get out of P3D v 3.2 all together and I reboot my system. Sometimes it takes two or three reboots to get the light to stay out. I don't know that rebooting the system has anything to do with it but I do it just to have a fresh start. I get it to go off but it's frustrating to say the lest. I am not a computer savvy guy so the reboot is my go to tool. One would think after 20 plus years of flight sim I would know something about computers. Sadly not. thanks for any help you can give....

You're not using the NGX as your default start flight are you? If so, you should not, as it can cause a variety of problems and unpredictable behavior.

Hi Jim, the F22 in Florida is still the default start up. I don't think its a missing file because getting out of the sim then restarting can fix it. Thanks ,...Mike
