Took a shot on adding the GTN750 - seems to work just fine.

Window02=GTN 750

/ ******************************************************************
[Window02]
Background_color=0,0,0
size_mm=937,887
ident=14401
window_pos= 0.660, 0.160
window_size= 0.340, 0.580
zorder=99
gauge00=F1GTN!GTN750, 0,0,937,887,UNIT1.POP

in VC01 -

add this:
gauge02=F1GTN!GTN750,  10,8,682,498,UNIT1.VC

be sure to comment out the existing gauge02

Always make a backup of your panel.cfg file BEFORE making changes.

Also try:

gauge02=F1GTN!GTN750VC,  10,8,682,498,UNIT1

and see which version you like better.

Interesting!  Didn't realize that that syntax removes the bezel. I like it.

Now I like the a/c better. Using the AP, just setting the nav source to FMS uses the GTN.

Nice!

Good idea Vic.

Looks nicer w/o bezel.

While I wait for IRIS to fix the FP entry/waypoints/keyboard handling. Will add it to one of the textures.

Post Edit: adjusted it a bit, and removed radios.             gauge02=F1GTN!GTN750VC, 10,-94,682,600,UNIT1

Cannot assign the LSK's so I added a toggler to the top left of the GTN -- PM me.

             gauge17=RBE!GTN_14401, 10,8,48,48

We have to make sure it works with the PFD and audio panel.

Cheers.

I've asked IRIS if they are interested...

Wouldn't they see that as a bit of an insult?  :)

If they're driven by pride, yes. If they're driven by opportunity, no.

There are many simmers who enjoy the F1 GTN, and will only fly GA aircraft / light jets, that allow integration of it.  So if such an option was available, I'm sure they'd see more sales.

The issue is one of realism - the GTN750 is not offered in the PC-24 in the real world, so whether they'd consider it too much of a concession to realism, is a factor.

Only took one complete flight but I was impressed with the handling (or rather I was not disappointed). Response to more throttle/less throttle during approach did all the right things once I realized clicking the AP button on my CH yoke only turned off the yaw damper. Had to turn the AP off inside the virtual cockpit. Not sure if that's a bug.

Once I realized the $40 price was in Australian dollars I melted and bought from SimMarket. About $32US. So far no buyer's remorse. Better than V1.0 of the Phenom 300.

I just wish they had taken more care in modelling the 3D shapes of the yoke, panels, etc. Looks like someone slapped a flat picture of the yoke on the panel - no shape no shadowing etc. I see they have a way of changing textures, etc - hopefully one of those will be better looking.

Looks great externally and handles well - I just can't seem to get by the blah VC panel.

Hello Vic,

As far as I can tell from their website, the two programs (Texture swap and Cockpit swap) are for those with low end systems. So I'm guessing they're low rez and probably worse than the default panel.

And as I've learned from Carenado, you can't fly "pretty."
