In fs9 why can't an airplane fly inside a cloud?

In colder climates cloud ceilings come down and I often see OVC002 with 10 mile visibility underneath. My current metar is OVC004 with 8 miles vis.

Guess it depends where you are- cold climate seems to be the key though...

Interesting and informative blog entry. Much appreciated.

The best cloud experience I have found would be in LOMAC, I mean you actually feel like you're flying through a cloud, and you even get that little bit of turbulence associated with flying through some clouds. If you haven't seen this, I should make a video so everyone can see. I am hoping that the next version of FS will be able to capture that sensation.Jeff
