Making the jump to Projectors - Canon REALiS WUX450ST Pro

Recommended Posts

What 4K Short Throw projectors have you seen for 7k from Sony?.

I was referring to the normal throw 4K projector. I believe there is only one short throw (ultra-short throw actually) 4K projector which is also made by Sony. That one costs $50k each...

There could be soon single-chip DLP 4K projectors coming to the market and they are supposed to be a lot cheaper. One caveat though is that DLP projectors tend to have long input lag, as bad as >100ms, while many Sony projectors can do 30ms or lesss.

Thinking about one day having a set up of 3x 4K projectors does make me drool every time...

Hi Gerard,

Here is the Cannon 400, I'm looking for the 450 but the 400 looks nice. I would think the 450 would be a little better.

Mell,

My experience that you need to stay under 1 mm per pixel with a projector.

So a 1920 projector needs to stay under 1.92m diagonally to have a "good" image.

That would be max 5 ft horizontally....

Flightsimcenter ( with Luciano from WidevieW ) makes full cockpits with projectors or monitors.

Their sharpest outside view is their 4K monitor setup.
