So after giving this mod another try, it seems to break the autopilot ALT-SEL and VS modes. I really want to like this aircraft, but the FPS drop from the G1000 MFD is just too much. I asked Carenado support about it, and they just told me my settings were too high. Anybody have any ideas on a fix for the autopilot w/ the GTN750? Or the G1000 for that matter?

Thanks!

Hi all,

I know it's a bit late in replying to this but I have just got around to installing version 2 ( been busy elsewhere). It appears that the autopilot with the GTN750 mod will not work on version two as Carenado have changed the panel.cfg therefore panel layout, including a different autopilot. I only noticed this when looking at the new panel the A/P is a different colour, the new one's darker!
The upshot is that I have managed to merge the new Carenado panel.cfg with the GTN750 panel.cfg and this is listed below with changes in bold. BTW this is for FSX only I don't have P3D.

All you need to do is backup the ..Carenado C208B_Grand_Caravan_EX\panel.GTN750\panel.cfg, Then open the old panel.cfg, edit and delete all the entries in the file and copy and paste the above entries and save the file. There is one other thing to do and that is as follows:

In the Carenado C208B_Grand_Caravan_EX\panel\  folder copy/paste the file info.bmp to the Carenado C208B_Grand_Caravan_EX\panel.GTN750 folder overwriting the old one.

Well it works for me, and  of course I accept no responsibility for this change damaging your flightsim or computer setup in any way!!! you use it at your own risk. Also the this is still Carenado's intellectual property not mine, and I do not make claim to it in any way!!!

Lastly I do not go on these forums very often so any questions you have may not be answered very quickly, if at all.

I know resurrecting an old thread isn't great but I wanted to confirm that this is tested and working in p3dv4.1 on the Ex c208

Is that a question or a statement?

If anyone is interested, I've created a VC merge for the GTN750 that retains the C208 engine gauges and adds a few other "goodies" (LPV glidepath, GTN clickspot, etc.). PM me if you'd like to give it a try.

without svs it wokrs fine but if it works in the caravan i dont see a reason that it wont work in the tbm so if someone can do anything with the tbm...
