Problem with DX10 and shadows

Hi guys,

 

I am using the Steve DX10 fixer.

I applied AC self shadows and ground shadows, now I get this! Can someone help me please how to fix it?

press the diagnostics button

 

(it should be showing a warning icon I would suspect)

Which diagnostics button and where?

EDIT: I see the newer Fixer version has diagnostics button, I still use the old version somehow.

Well firstly I would suggest that you update - what is your order reference?

Yes, I made it! Version 3.092. But there is one last issue, from the tower I see a strange shadow cover.

Hello Peter - don't worry I have found your order now. 

 

Sadly there is nothing you can do about that - its the same in DX9. 

 

Technically the problem is (technobabble alert) that you are zoomed  in a lot and there isn't sufficient accuracy in the depth buffer to render the shadows accurately at that distance.

 

In earlier version of the fixer I tried to address it but it caused side effects and broke other things.
