Recommended Posts

For those that have the updated FS2004 version of Yannick Lavigne's Falcon 50 I was wondering how is the updated version? Do you recomend I get the plane?

Yes!!!I assume you are talking about the freeware offering. One of my favorite birds, but in all honesty with a few tweaks the old model still was acceptable to me and I flew it in fS9 until the update came out.Assuming that it is still available as a free download, what have you to loose? Give it a try and see if you like it.Happy flying:RTHOne Edit adder: Like the Eaglesoft Citation X, you need speed before you go for any drastic rate of climb in the Falcon50. You cannot just jump off of the runway @ 2,000fpm and full load. It takes a degree of patience but is still fun to fly and has a great interior IMHO.

I think I will try the updated Falcon when I get home. I flew this plane alot in FS2002. :)I have 2 quesions though, 1. Do I need the original FS2002 Falcon 50 installed for the FS2004 update to work? Or does this update include the plane? 2. Do the old FS2002 repaints work with the update? I had this real cool livery for it that I would like to use if it works.PS: If you want the update I found it here http://www.francevfr.com/index.htm

It flies great! The only quirks I have found was a problem with the inlet area in the aircraft.cfg file - make sure it is 1.400. The number 1 and 2 throttle are cross - controlled, only noticeable if you use the the CH throttle quadrant. Be sure to review the manual and follow the airspeeds during climbout. Seems easy on frame rates on my mid-level machine. The outside textures seem improved from what I remember of the 2002 version. Possibly the best freeware business jet available.Dale

I love the FS2k2 version of the Falcon 50 in FS2k4. The update that was released has quirks that I don't care for. First off the night lighting has been changed inside the VC, wing control surfaces no longer work inside the cabine, and the FDE overall hasn
