LHSimulations LHBP stuttering issue

Recommended Posts

No happening here. Not sure if I am using build 8 or 9. One thing I did do was rename fx_skidmark.fx to OFF. in the P3D effects folder. Get a very minor micro stutter near the boundary of the airport. Apart from that, no pauses.

The build 9 has Prepar3DV3 install options included.

I can reproduce the 0.050sec micro pause just flying over rwy tresholds in both direction. Havent tried without traffic but seems strange that traffic should have an effect in this particular area above runways.

Otherwise extreme smooth

Ok, I must have build 9. Will test again. I assume your are referring to car traffic ?

Sorry  , yes car traffic for both Vector roads (primary and highways) and normally car traffic

I wonder if the problem stems from the fact it was designed to blend with the former Aerosoft LHBP which came with a separate city terrain ? I remember when this Airport was first released for FSX, it had frame rate issues if you used the AS city terrain as well.

Anyway, will do some more testing.

"Stuttering" is pretty accurate, Richard; don't sell yourself short.

I too admire the hell out of LHS' LHBP since they did such a great job with it. With the exception of this issue, it'd be a 5/5. I will give them the benefit of the doubt; if there was an easy fix, surely they'd have found it by now. I just wish they'd do the odd thing and ask another developer for help. Surely it's not simply a case of excluding a certain road or area outside of the airport.

Until then...

Yep, I fully agree in the scenery being a very nice one except for this problem!

As for fixing it I understand it's not that easy but after reading reports about this issue posted in 2014 and we're soon in 2017 I think that time should have been enough to fix pretty much any issue with a single scenery.

If I was the developer I would have got in touch with Orbx since there's a relation between this issue and FTX Vector and asked them for any tips on what could cause the issue and I like to think they would have been happy to help.
