ORBX Ship Simulator?

Recommended Posts

This of course is a joke, but I wanted to take a picture in the screenshot forum over at the ORBX website a step further. The original one showed the “Bounty” berthed in Nanaimo, it wasn't posted by me.

The “Passat” you can see here in Nanaimo is a four-masted steel barque, launched in 1911. She was decommissioned in 1957 and is now anchored in Lübeck, Germany, where she serves as museum and youth hostel.

We slowly maneuver our way out to sea with a big ferry in the background

I have to admit that motoring along the coast of Vancouver Island with all the lights in the background was something special. You sit in the evening in front of your PC, have a glass of decent red in your hand and enjoy the scenery slowing moving by. In the background you hear the rumbling sound of a big, old, slow turning ship diesel. It seems that you have all the time in the world
