No rain with Active Sky ...

Recommended Posts

Yesterday I installed the latest Fixer version in my FSX:SE.

When there's rain, it is depicted if I do not use AS16, but when it is used, as a "flight" starts I see drops for a fraction of a second and then they quit.

Default weather only shows the rain drops, or snow again.

Any ideas ?

Well, I have tested AS16 under several scenarios (it's inherent to being a beta tester for it :-) ) and never came accross this, but I'm also investigating, and the port in my FW is opened for a long time.

Thx anyway Steve.

Will keep trying to understand what's causing it.

Well you haven't said is if there is any connection to dx10 or the fixer.

Does it occur with the fixer libraries uninstalled, does it occur in dx9 ? Does it occur if you disable the fixer rain shader in the debug dialog?

It sounds to me as if something is wrong with the connection between the as client and as server and this (probably) has nothing to do with the last thing that you did which was install the fixer.

Perhaps some other install has removed or corrupted your dll.xml entry for AS16 between the last time it rained (in fsx) and now?

Try uninstalling and reinstalling as16???

It was the Port - bummer!

Although I run  all presently on a single PC, both Private and Public must be opened!

I had closed the Public side probably, and didn't even remember :-/

Thx!
