Introduction

Step by Step Guide to Uninstall Lockheed Martin's Prepar3D v3
 
By following this process you will Deactivate and Uninstall Prepar3D v3 from your Computer.

1) Uninstalling Prepar3D v3

Navigate to your Control Panel by typing "Control" into your Windows search bar,  Click  "Uninstall a Program"   

1 Right Click Prepar3D v3 Academic\Professional and Click Uninstall.  2  The Modify Setup box will appear.  Click Uninstall

1 When the process has finished,   Box No 2 will appear,  Click Close

Important (Please Read)

Go back to your Control Panel  and Insure the 4 Prepar3D v3 Entries below have been Removed during the Uninstall Process

 Prepar3D v3 Academic\Professional,,,,,Prepar3D v3 Client,,,,,,Prepar3D v3 Content,,,,,Prepar3D v3 Scenery  

If you still have Prepar3D v3 Entries left after the Uninstall Process you can just Right Click and Uninstall each one of them. Only move onto the next step when all Prepar3D v3 Entries have been Removed from the "Control Panel"

(2) Deleting all 6 Prepar3D v3 folders from your computer.

While the uninstaller removes all files that are created by the installer, it does not completely remove content that was generated during program execution. To completely uninstall Prepar3D, you must manually delete folders and files that are created during runtime.  

 

For a clean Uninstall, please manually delete the following 6 blue folders:

Local Disk (C:) ► Program Files (x86) ► Lockheed Martin ► Prepar3D v3 (or the modified install location)

Documents ► Prepar3D v3 files \ Prepar3D v3 Add-ons

Local Disk (C:) ►ProgramData ► Lockheed Martin ► Prepar3D v3 

Local Disk (C:) ► Users ► You ► AppData ► Roaming ►Lockheed Martin Prepar3D v3 

Local Disk (C:) ► Users ► You ► AppData ► Local ► Lockheed Martin Prepar3D v3

To find these folders You Need to Insure you have the correct Folder Options applied,  This is quick and easy, follow the steps below. 

For windows 7 and 8 and 10 users,  open your "Control Panel" and follow the path 

1 Control Panel ► Appearances and Personalisation  ►  2 Show hidden files and folders.  3 Tick the circle "Show hidden files, folders and drivers"  Click Apply and Ok
