Can I purchase with a pre-paid Visa?

Recommended Posts

I wish to use a generic prepaid Visa, the kind you buy at the store say for $100, instead of my Master Card.

Reason:  Committee is unlikely to approve the pending 744 v2 purchase.

;-)

haha - officially? Don't run afoul of the committee.

As far as I know prepaid cards work just like regular cards where they're accepted - just beware of any fees that they might charge on them for transactions, etc.

Have you considered a prepaid PayPal card? Will cost you $3.95 and you can choose the amount to load on to your PayPal account.

Hmm, curious, but that requires a debit does it not?

You see, this needs to be done stealth-like.

Not at all, go to a big box store or Rite Aid, etc. and pay cash for a PayPal card. It's got a 0-500$ load amount. Go to the PayPal cash site, enter the card code and it will load your PayPal account with the specified funds. That's how I buy stuff from Flightsimstore (Australia) where a prepaid Visa is only good for domestic purchases. And the funds are available IMMEDIATELY!

Why does that involve the liberal use of an ASP...?  ;-)

Bottom line,

Yes you can, I have a pre-paid Visa for online shoping and it's linked to a paypal acount, so if the "card" is not working you can "override" it via paypal( checkout via paypal that takes it from the card)

I got both the B77L and the 77W this way.

just make sure that your card is open for online shoping.

Not all shops that accept Visa are accept pre-paid visa card.

Hey Chris,

I used a USD Vanilla Visa to buy the J41 last year. No problems.

The CAD cards generally work a little easier, as you tie an address and name to them.

The only reason I used the USD card was I was in the Middle East at the time, and that's all the base had.

Cheers
