R22

Recommended Posts

Some nice videos.

I tried that hovering but I went all over and crashed.

Looks like the R22 is the most used heli for training.

How is he flying with the right hand where is the collective

These days and at least here in Europe, the R44 dominates for basic helicopter flight instruction. The R22 is still used though, as well as the Hughes 300.

The R44 is a new breed ?

I like the Hughes 500D for XPX it's awesome. Though highly trim sensitive, it's like a runaway trim.

Back to hovering and crashing.

But how is he flying don't seem him use the collective and he Is climbing

The collective would be to the left of his seat, operated with his left hand.

Are you using the Dreamfoil R22? That's one of my favorites, only eclipsed by their new S300CBi.

In the video? I didn't watch more than a few minutes, but I'd be positive that there's going to be a collective for the left hand seat, on the left side of that seat.

There's a left hand collective for the left hand seat in both the default R22, and the Dreamfoil R22.

k, let me check by sitting on the left side.

Yeah there is a lever on the left. Thanks Jimmy.

The helicopters require good hardware to be properly used in a flight simulator. Unfortunately having a full heli controller setup costs a fortune.

I had the chance to try one of those for the R44 some 6 yrs ago, with XP9, and then the same with FSX' DODOSIM.  Although the simulated models are very different, both simulations, used with the right HW, provide excellent experiences, but I preferred the XP9 heli sensation in that trial.

That's the reason I am extending the stick length. And it should work well with fixed wings too.

It can only work better with any aircraft type, less those Eunuch airbuses.... or modern fighters :-)

I bought a PVC Pipe for a USD cost of 1 and it is around 2 feet long and feels strong, the best part is the inner radius of the pipe seems would be easily fit the Logitech center pipe :),

But I don't know what should I keep the length of the pipe
