Hello Pilots!

We have prepared Hotfix 4 for AS2016 (both FSX and P3D versions). For P3D version, this includes P3D v3.4.9 compatibility.

This is being offered in OPEN BETA format. Please use BETA software at your own risk. An official release will follow once this is determined to be stable.

- Compatibility adjustments for P3D v3.4.9 (AS16 for P3D only)
- Digital signature SHA2 updates
- Adjusted magvar computations for better accuracy in some areas
- Fixed crash on exit issue in some cases
- Adjusted documentation to reference new SimConnect/SDK links from Microsoft
- Fixed problem with XGauge wizard mis-handling quote characters (") in simobjects.cfg resulting in crash/error
- Fixed string parsing issue with certain culture/localization settings

ASCA does not need updated to work on 3.4.

Is AS16 better than REX for weather generation?

Yes, without a doubt. And with ASCA even better. Deleted Rex off my HDD.( Texures )

Yes, And changes the textures Dynamically. You can download the AS2016 demo, good for 7 days. No demo for ASCA though. Search here too,plenty of posts

AS16 come with its own texrures?

It does not but they sell a texture replacement program that works with ActiveSky 2016 and it's called Active Sky Cloud Art. It has the ability to replace your sky and cloud textures dinamically based on weather conditions that it reads of a METAR.

AS16 : As a weather engine

REX: For Textures (At least Soft Clouds)

ASCA: Dynamic changes to the textures

AS16 does not have it's own textures, it's just the weather engine. ASCA are the textures, it's a separate program
