I've been looking around to replace my trusted Saitek cyborg 3D joystick with a quality yoke for use in P3D/PMDG. I have come up with either the Yoko or the new 737 desktop yoke from ACE which has a decent price tag. I know the Yoko is a good product but it's price demands I research carefully.

While there are a number of user/technical reviews on the Yoko there's not much around on the ACE. I checked their Facebook account and via a review could check the insides of the product but could form a conclusion and also seemed unsurprisingly rather sponsored...

Has anyone here received the ACE desktop yoke or have any advice?

thanks,

Andy

Obviously no experience with the ACE here.

Just as well, I stuck with a sure thing and ordered (in the meantime received) a YOKO the yoke.

Gents,

You can find comments, information and even a video review of the yoke(s) on our FB page here:

https://www.facebook.com/Aircraftcontrolengineering/

You will need to scroll down on the FB page (way down) when you get to a review from a recent customer who says:

""Hi all flightsimmer

This yoke is probably the best thing in humanity, in all cases in flightsimmer. Very well functioning and very well made, heavy and stable. It is worth all the time i have been waiting, 4months.
Only minus for me is that it does not have "hat switch" but Darryl promise to help with it. Overall i am very pleased with it.
To you who hesitate, stop with it and buy... Did every one have it, ther would be no wars in the world 1f642.png"":-)"

Furthermore, due to our growth and overwhelming demand, ACE is partnered with AviationMegaStore who customers from Europe and neighboring countries can enjoy reduced shipping charges when compared to our original shipping from Toronto, Canada.

As of today, Desktop product line includes: 737, 747,757, 767, 777 yoke handles which work with all operating systems and flight simulator platforms (unrestricted).  We are including CRJ, 787 and 717 yoke handles to our product offering soon.  We also have EMB/ERJ/CESSNA handles available which can be used on the desktop "snap & lock" interchangeable system.

If you require pictures or any more information, feel free to drop me a line at: darryl@737yoke.com

Cheers,

D

Hi everyone,

Coming from a Saitek Cessna yoke and throttle system, the ACE 737 is leaps and bounds above the saitek.  Takeoff and landings feel right!  With the saitek it was hard to do a good landing, but not with the ACE yoke.  The ACE yoke almost feels and responds like the real thing.  It's a metal heavy beast and it's like the real thing.  The best $500 spent in this hobby.  By the way, I have the desktop yoke.

I totally agree. I have the same yoke, and was also coming from the Cessna Saitek. Really amazing difference.

Been looking at this yoke for a while now, looks like it's been getting good reviews, is it smooth? The last high end yoke I bought (GoFlight) was really notchy. Plus I think the ability to switch handles is awesome.
