Phenom 300 + Navigraph ext pack

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have been reading a lot and watching all the "YOUTUBE" video's attempting to solve this problem with the G1000 "Prodigy" for the Carenado Phenom 300...

I have the latest version 1.3 G1000 Navigraph and the latest AIRAC 1611.

The only "bug" I have is resetting the ALT....for example if it is set on 520ft and I attempt to change to another ALT for example FL320, I can change the numbers but after pressing "ENT" button it reverts back to 520ft for the entire flight....

Therefore, is this a known bug or what is the solution to my problem?

I would appreciate any help on this matter...

Bob

Are you following the guidance on page 7 of the Navigraph G1000 manual?

Do you mean the ALT for the flight plan? or the one for cabin pressure?

Thanks for reply from Jim Young and a member SIMBOL

After entering the flight plan with SIDS and STARS using Airac 1611

YES, I am following page 7  using 15000ft or FL150...after entering the correct figures it still reverts  back to the default ALT setting of original setting of 5200...

(NO, Simbol nothing with the cabin pressure settings)

From manual NOTE: "The altitude selected is reached at that specific waypoint and it is calculated internally based on the current altitude and the remaining distance"

I understand the above, but when attempting to change to  a lower Altitude setting for Arrival section of the flight plan, it doesn't change...For example when top of climb is reached at FL310 this remains, but when attempting to enter a lower altitude at about 150 miles out from point of descent, to say 8,000ft from 31,000 it will not accept the lower number but reverts back to 31,000 after pressing "ENT" button...

Hornplayer,

have you see this video?

Jim posted it before, the guy on the video is changing the altitudes for the flight plan, however please note that Carenado has well known issues with this feature for example:

1) Each nav point default altitude is FL280, you have to change this one by one but if you add another waypoint it will revert all figures back to FL280.

2) You need to use the correct FMS / ENT buttom, pay attention to the video and notice which one is being used.

3) You cannot change the altitude for Departures or Arrivals, these will always revert to the altitude published on the STAR or SID.

Hope this help.

Regards,

Simbol
