I was wondering what everyones experience in dealing with eDimensional is. I bought the TrackIR 3 and vector expansion, before the new TackIR 4 got released. I then got an email saying that I could change my order since I was already waiting for the vector expansion, which I did. My small annoyance is that they already charged my creditcard even though it's almost a month ago. Now I've bought a lot of things off the internet, but they have always waited to charge my creditcard until they actually shipped the product. I have contacted eDimensional several times, and to be fair they have responded quickly each time, but nothing changes. I guess I'm just trying to find out if you think it's "fair" business the way eDimensional does it?As an aside...has anyone received their new TrackIR 4 yet?

Charging your card before shipment isn't normal. I'm not sure why they would do that.As a long time user of eDimensional products, I've found that they are very friendly, honest, and quick with the tech support.

Actually, I am in the same boat. I ordered my Vector expansion a few weeks ago and they already charged my card. I am just about to call them...Update: I called them and I was told that the Vector expansion should be in stock again end of this week. The rep confirmed that they charged the card without even shipping them. They offered to charge back the amount, but if it is in stock by the end of the week (so they say) anyway, I am fine with it.However, I agree that an item should be only get charged upon shipping. We shall see...

Good to hear I'm not the only one...I thought it to be a little "unfair", please let me know what you find out.

I have ordered software from an Australian based train-sim developer, and they charged folks' cards at the time of order. The product took about 6 weeks from that point till it was ready to ship. It hadn't gone gold yet. I guess I didn't get too excited as I knew I would get it eventually and have had successful dealing with them in the past. I understand others may view this differently.Tony=http://www.flightsim-bevs.com]BEVBetaSig.jpg

Add another one to the list...I'm just wondering why they decided to offer TIR4 rather than offload existing stock at a reduced price - other than sheer profit of course? And although eDimensional have my money up front, I feel more confident about the situation than the CS/PayPal issue. End of the week eh?*rubs hands excitedly and sets trust in blind faith*Al

I have never dealt with them personally, but they appear from various posts on the forums to be a company that does deliver. Tony=http://www.flightsim-bevs.com]BEVBetaSig.jpg

I have been unable to get anything out of them with regards to shipping dates, but like you say...we shall see. :)

So how did it go? Did you get your TrackIR yet? Has anyone gotten their new TrackIR 4 product? I still don't see any change in my order status at all. :(
