Gisborne made the list? Why because a rarely used railway line crosses the runway on a local airport?

 

Queenstown and Wellington are better contenders. Queenstown has challenging approaches through mountain valleys and try landing a 777 into Wellington on a 6827 foot runway in one of the windiest cities on the planet. Wellington approaches are like a roller coaster ride
