brit.jpgCome one come all! The friendly staff at the Dangerous Airports Database will be in tearing up the turf this Saturday in British Columbia, Canada. We need your help though! If you love VFR flying through mountains and dangerous, complicated airfields that require STOL aircraft, then you're just the captain we're looking for! Come out and help us perform evaluations on 7 remote fields in the BC wilderness by filling out a simple and short form about the airfields you visited. After the 7 fields have been evaluated, we will continue to fly around the area looking for new fields to add to our growing database. Dont feel like doing the paperwork and just wanna dust off that ole' otter? No problem! Anyone and everyone is welcome as long as you're flying a non-jet STOL aircraft. The adventure will start at Vancouver Intl Airport CYVR. From there we will fly in and out of our initial 7 fields in this order: CYYF- PentictonCYLW- KelownaCYKA- KamloopsCZAM- Salmon ArmCYCG- CastlegarCZGF- Grand ForksCYCZ- Fairmont Hot SpringsThis will be a VFR flight (weather permitting). Flight plan files are available below. We will be departing CYVR at 1900 ZULU sharp! This flight will be conducted on the VATSIM network. We will have a designated Teamspeak channel in use. Stay tuned to this thread for the address. The evaluation forms are available at http://dangerousairports.com/evaluation.docHope to see you there!!!Go to http://dangerousairports.com/CYVR-CZGF.FSN for an FSNavigator flight planGo to http://dangerousairports.com/CYVR-CZGF.PLN for an FS9 flight plan for GPS users. For more information, please visit our website at www.dangerousairports.com today!

The weather looks like it will be clear and sunny! Also, the 7 fields above are all paved and not at the top of our "most challenging" airports, so any GA aircraft should be fine. BUT- After the 7 fields are evaluated, we will be on going into some of the many small desolite dirt strips in the area. These WILL require a STOL rated aircraft.

The event was postponed last weekend due to bad weather...Saturday 11-26-2005- Rain or Shine! If weather is not favorable, we will conduct this event on a private server, and not on VATSIM. Weather and server details will be available shortly before the flight.
