Removed 780 and installed 1080 now it is a lot worse

No idea what is happening, GTX 1080 just installed it and terrible slow performance, much worse than the 780 it replaced.

Better quality of graphics but unplayable.

 

Any ideas ?

Deleting the shaders cache would be my first guess too.

 

I would also not exclude that there is a hardware defect, although not so very likely.

And, if you performed a clean install of NV drivers, re-build and re-apply NCP profile for P3D (courtesy of Rob).
