Identification of DX10 Scenery Fixer Profiles

Recommended Posts

Is there a way to tell what profile (by name) is currently loaded into the DX10 Fixer?

This would be very useful information when developing and testing different profiles.

Thx,

Al

No sorry there isn't at this time.

What you could do is make an entry in all your profile files in the general group with an entry like

myfile=file name.

That should I think get copied into your dx10.ini

How do you do this? I don't understand how to open a profile to make a text entry, and don't know what the General Group is.   I don't see any way to make a text entry through the Fixer itself,  and Notepad doesn't seem to work.  I Guess I'm just missing something here.

Thx,

Al

OK, tried again and now NotePad works with the Profiles. All I got before with NotePad and NotePad++ was a blank  -- strange.

A name entered under [General] in the Profile does show up in the DX10.ini file -- good idea, thanks. However, in a future DX10Fixer release, it would be great if the name of the active profile was listed in the Profile drop down menu.

Thanks very much for the help.

Al

Edit: Turns out all copies of my Default.dfp profile, which is what I was experimenting with, are blank in NotePad.

Does that seem right?

Yes, the idea of a default is to have no settings, in which case the default settings built into the fixer apply, load it, make some changes and save as ark1...

Well that explains what I was seeing (or in this case, not seeing     ).

Thx,

Al
