Level-D 767 and PMDG 737 owners

Recommended Posts

Greetings All,I have read many post here praising the 767 and 737 and think that maybe I'm missing out. I use the IFdg 767-200,300, which have very stable flight mods and funny enough the default 737, which also performs quite well for my purposes. Alternating between Glass and ana panels, which are a Hybrid of my own patchwork but are very functional, which leads me to the reason for this post. I was wondering if a few of you, both 767 and 737, could kindly post a few screen shots of the main panels and maybe some sub panels so that I can decide which one I'll like to buy. The actual visual model is not a biggy with me as there is not much of a walk-around preflight involved.DouglasB-707 retTwo shots showing the panel I use.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/133375.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/133376.jpg

Hello Douglas, I would suggest checking out the vendor's websites (www.leveldsim.com and www.precisionmanuals.com). You will find plenty of screenshots there, there was also a promo movie for the leveld sim, this should be a good start while waiting for simmers screenshots... hope this helpsJohn

Panels are a lot more realistic and functional nowadays compared to what you're using. I'd defiantly say you're missing a lot! Come on in, the water's fine! ;-)You can't go wrong with either PMDG or Level-D (Although, Level-D would be my preference)Pyjamas

>>Douglas,>>Are you a retired 707 driver?>Honestly a guy like you deserves to sim-fly using a bit better>panel and quality of simulation. When I look at you stuff>above I am getting stomach cramps.. :-lol>>Michael J.>http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/pmdg_744F.jpg>http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_beta_member.jpgIf you consider he was driving nothing but steam gauges back then. Even the default stuff seems pretty modern; and since he already knows what he is doing flying wise. The default glass just makes things easier and more fun for him.

I have both PMDG 737NG versions distributed on CD as packaged by Aerosoft. As posted elsewhere you can go to the vendors sites for screen shots. Aerosoft CDs are current with a slight service pack download from them. I bought both because I wanted the updated panel that comes with the 800/900 for the 600/700.One thing top note is that there is customization within the application utility regarding a split eicas and placement of the pfd/nd (side by side or over/under) classified by airline. You also may find the resolution a bit low on these glass gauges but these can be enlarged slightly for very good reading via a hot-key. It covers the auto-brake select knob and a few switches not used most of the time in still presenting the main panel. A visual landing view is also selectable when needed. The overhead systems and lights, throttle, and radio panels are excellent with most buttons/levers active. The aircraft are realistic in optional and mandatory system and FMC settings so be prepared for a bit of a learning curve. in the boxed Aerosoft versions hard copy POMs and FMC manuals are included in addition to the PMDG .pdf manuals. These are a few things to keep in minnd when comparing vendors. Also keep in mind the intended range and capacity of the aircraft you wish to use in choosing between 737NG suites and 767s.

Oh man are you missing out!! I personally put the PMDG first, but that's just personal opinion. As I always say, once you go payware, you never go back.Happy simming!

As I always say,>once you go payware, you never go back.>Something I'd definitely agree with! Own both and couldn't imagine myself EVER again take up the default 737 or any other freeware aircraft for that matter. Feeling, instruments and all other things are so much better on these aircraft than freeware (and I have been using freeware before).Take a dive and go with the flow. You'll love it.

No sense leaving him with the misguided impression that we would all be happy to offer him some help...... :-roll
