Win 7 will no longer allow me to log in.

Recommended Posts

Hi

When I boot up Win 7 takes me to my usual log in page with my name, but when I put my password in I get "The Group Policy Client service failed the login. Access is denied."

That's it, can't get any further.

I would appreciate any help to get into my computer. I must add that I have virtually no PC skills apart from turning the thing on and off, so any advice at basic PC idiot level please.

Thanks.

Try unplugging your internet connection, restart, then login. Once you've logged in, reconnect your internet, this should work.

Nope. Tried exactly as you said and it didn't work.

But thanks for trying.

Try booting into safe mode. If you can log in there then its a fixable problem.

Turn on your  pc

press   f8   if  you press  too soon it  wont  work if  press  to late  it  wont  work

As soon as the BIOS has finished processing, begin tapping the F8 key on your keyboard. Continue to do so until the Windows Advanced Options menu appears

if  it  fails  than you have  to start over  again   may  take  awhile  to get  it  right
