Aerosoft twin otter extended

Recommended Posts

Greetings from a new guy!

I was wondering if the twin otter has any issues with v3.4.

I'm thinking about buying it, but it says it's officially only compatible with v2.

I have it installed.  It works you just have to manually add a gauge to the xml.dll in your Windows directory.  It's easy - let me know if you need help or google the install.

Umm, here's the thread at aerosoft but they don't really give you any guidance.  Good thing is, you don't need it!

But just install it from with your FSX .exe file.

Then all you need to do is browse to your LM P3D v3 OS folder, and find the dll.xml

It should be here: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3

And add these lines for the recorder (you don't even need it)

<Launch.Addon>
    <Name>Flight Recorder</Name>
    <Disabled>False</Disabled>
    <ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad>
    <Path>Aerosoft\Flight Recorder\AS-FlightRecorder.dll</Path>
  </Launch.Addon>

Or just wait a month or so. Aerosoft is currently in the process of making some of their Aircraft natively P3Dv3 compatible. Currently they are on the Catalina, the Twotter is next.

Also, do you know if the Aerosoft Beaver will work in P3D v3?

Thanks

Unless you need the flight recorder, you can just point the installer to the P3Dv3 folder and everything will work just fine.
