Some Addons Interfere with FSX-SE

Recommended Posts

Would be grateful if anyone has any helpful ideas about this:

I've been using FSX-SE in W10 successfully for a while; normally fly the aerosoft A319 with ASN and GSX , using UK2000 or (mainly aerosoft) airports.

Last week, all of a sudden, I had a problem when I tried to update the airport position in GSX because afterwards most of the switch and button clickspots stopped operating - you could hear the click, but no action (ie the switch didn't move or button light up).  Oddly, at the same time I could swap pages on the MCDU but not input any information, and I could swap views for example inside and outside the aircraft.

The same problem occurs when loading ASN after the flight has loaded.  It's fine if I boot up ASN first.

Same thing again when I start FTG ACARS (Flying Tigers pirep system) - as soon as it links fo FS, the functionality of the aircraft goes out of the window.

Thing is all these things were OK; I don't think I've changed anything(!)

Same thing happens in the default aircraft, but worse.

Any help very gratefully received!

Thanks

Possibly a Windows 10 update causing your problems?

Awaiting the new Microsoft Flight Sim and the purchase of a new system.  Running a Chromebook for now!

I don't know, anything is possible I guess.  I'll have a look and roll it back if I've had one.  Must admit I thought I'd turned them off.

Thanks

Microsoft did a major update to W10 which caused me a lot of problems, mainly due to their fragmentation of my fsx files. I had to defragment to get loading times any where near reasonable using a third party program which is also a booster.

Confused as to how an OS update could cause fragmentation of your FSX files. Adding/updating files on your hard drives dosen't break up existing files unrelated to the OS.
