Autopilot on/off on same joystick button

Recommended Posts

I'm looking for a way to assign one joystick button to enable and disable AP through fsuipc. I read somewhere I need to modify the ini file but how?

I'm flying the dash 8 with Saitek x52. Thanks

I'm trying this from memory so I'm not positive of the exact steps but:

Run P3D and open FSUIPC - click the tab for buttons & switches - press the button you want to program - be sure it is recognized - I believe one of the options nelow is FS control - click that - a selection box below will open - locate TOGGLE AUTOPILOT and assign it to that button. That should do it.

Hopefully someone at a flight computer will clean up the above steps but you should get the idea.

Thanks for reply.. But such option doesn't exist within fsuipc. However I found an alternative way by leaving the 'Z' as it is in p3d controls and then assigning the button on the joystick to work as the 'z' key within fsuipc under button and switches. Works like a charm.
