For those that can't do 30Hz via DisplayPort try with an HDMI cable. It worked for me. I was able to go into Nvidia control panel and changed it to 30 Hz.

Thanks. Will test later.

Gsync only works with DP, and also only works at 30 fps and higher. So if you are searching for 4k which is either double or quadruple the res of your current setup but not being able to maintain 30 fps at your current resolution I don't think is going to get you anywhere.

Just set your resolution to 30 hz, which will work fine in DP or HDMI.

Why would you get a tiny 24" 4K monitor? Makes no sense. Plus the text and menu will be so small it will be hard to read! 4K is awesome but not on a tiny monitor

Unfortunately on my Dell U3415W using DP only gives me 50Hz or 60 Hz but not 30 Hz.

Via HDMI it gives the option for 30 Hz. I wonder why is this.

My Pc is in a normal desk table, i think more than 27 will be too much for the distance i look at monitor.

My 40" Samsung is less than 3 feet from my eyes when simming and I have no problems at all. I sit even closer when typing something up like I am now. The TV is just over arms length away from me.

Thanks you. I will consider 27? 32? 40 is too big for me.

My monitor don't have 30Hz option via DP and it don't have HDMI.

The principal reason for a 4K monitor in 24 is the 30Hz option.

I think i will stay with my actual monitor for a few months more...

Actually i have a stutter free experience with 60Hz, 30.5 FPS limit in NI, Vsync 1/2 and 31FPS limit in P3D. This is the smoothest experience i had in P3D, it remembers me the 1/2 FSX old times.

My monitor is 144Hz Gsync compatible, but i can't get smooth experience using Gsync even with 50-60 average FPS...It always causes some microstuttering...

Will consider a 4K 27 monitor in a few months...

Yes i use 1/2 but Force On do the same job. The key is limit the FPS to 30 externally (NI) and internally.

And also Use the 3D App Setting do the same.

Now i have:

NI: FPS Limit to 30.5, Vsync Use the 3D App Setting.

P3D: FPS limit to 31 (31 is smoother than 30), Vsync and TB to Off.

Pretty smooth and stutter free sim.

I went from a 27" 1080 monitor to a $600 50" Vizio 4K TV. Would never go back! I sit 30" from the monitor and have zero issues. No eye strain, input lag or ghosting

You might be surprised at how you get used to the larger monitor.  What you do for day to day stuff, is split it up in to multiple virtual monitors using a program called Display Fusion.  I have mine set up as two 1920x2160 virtual monitors.  This resolution is awesome for web browsing, email, word processing, etc.  Then switch to single monitor view for flight simulation and games.

It does take a couple weeks to get used to it.
